Sophia Brotons

Hi! I’m Sophia! I am a visual arts student at TCNJ. I have always had a passion for art as it has been my outlet throughout my life. Outside of graphic design, I am interested in photography and fine art. Through my education at TCNJ, I have gained the skills to creatively express myself as well as creatively design in a multitude of forms. I am currently working as a cartographer for the company CRG, where I design maps of schools and community buildings for first responders in case of emergencies. In the future, I would love to work in photography as well as brand designing. My goal long term is to continue to hone my skills and eventually become a graphic design teacher to allow others to find their own expression through design.

Thai cuisine has grown rapidly throughout the US, but has shifted in order to appeal to those with a lack of understanding of its origin. Crying Tigers’ goal is to bring Thai cuisine to a new space where anyone can learn and enjoy dishes they may have never had before.

Four-Ward

Four-Ward is a game design geared towards children in an educational format. Inspired by connect-4 but instead of colored chips, letters are the placeholders on the board. The letters are placed to create 4-letter words as the game is played. My goal with this design was to keep a vibrant and playful color scheme, with the letter pattern intertwined throughout every element.
