Kyra Smith

Hello Hello! I’m an amiable and reliable graphic designer who is highly interested in branding and identity building, and likes to occasionally dabble in illustration. Watching a system of logos, colors, typefaces, combine together to create a personable and resilient identity system is always exciting, and I enjoy pushing the boundaries of what an individual system can entail. Outside of branding, I love toying with colors, symbols, and layout to create unique and interesting designs to tackle any problem.

One core value I focus on is that design is best created collaboratively. Whether that’s on a graphic design team, or between designer and client, communication and teamwork makes any design stronger. That is why all of my work involves careful consideration of the audience, client, or user.

I love solving design problems and discussing anything creative, so feel free to reach out! Can’t wait to chat with you!

O-Scope Stationary

This stationary set is for the fictional, marine life focused magazine publisher, O-Scope. Maintaining a specific color palette and repetition of the treatment of the logo creates consistency in all of the items in this set. Each item is also function focused, as the business information is easy to locate and it will be easy to print mailing content of those that require it.

Joos

Joos is a prospective line of single-serve juice cartons, aimed to appeal to children and young families. The packaging features youthful imagery and a playful style while maintaining a bright yet limited color palette. The repetition creates a unified line of product, but the flexibility of their design allows for a variety of flavors to be easily identifiable.

Hologram Communicator

In this series of materials, I explore what design looks like for technology that has yet to be developed. This speculative design features 2 hypothetical blueprints (including company branding and protective watermarks) as well as an introductory brochure manual.

Petpedia

This project encourages prospective pet owners to educate themselves on the species-specific care requirements for their animals, while also being a resource for current pet owners to also learn more about their companions. This organization primarily centers around an online database that hosts comprehensive and understandable pet care information, organized by the individual, specific species. They also have a presence on Instagram, using ads and posts to highlight interesting facts about specific animals and motivate viewers to research further.
